Helena Buckley

Sr. Director,
J&J Supply Chain Leadership Development

Helena is the Sr. Director of Leadership Development as part of the Culture, Capability & Development team in J&J Supply Chain. In this role Helena is responsible for creating and articulating the strategic vision for Leadership Development and will also have responsibility for overseeing culture and capability program deployment in EMEA and ASPAC.

Helena has 21 years’ experience in Supply Chain and has held roles of increasing responsibility in Depuy Synthes, Janssen and Global Talent Management. In her most recent roles, she has led and transformed the GOLD, STAR, CompassEQLD, Plant Leader, LE2ED, and LEAP programs.

Throughout her career in Human Resources, Talent Management and Leadership Development, Helena has championed transformative change in J&J and has successfully focused on preparing current and future generations of diverse and inclusive leaders to be successful in their roles and better equipped to deliver the J&J Purpose and JJSC Promise. Helena is a passionate Supply Chain leader focused on driving value and impact. Prior to J&J, Helena has lead HR teams in 3 start-up organizations in the electronics and customer service industries. Helena received her Bachelor of Business Studies and Entrepreneurship Degree from the University of Limerick.

Helena, her husband Barry and son Conor currently reside in Ireland.

Aligned with the JJSC key priorities to become a clear competitive advantage and growth enabler for J&J, Helen leads the global team responsible for defining & developing the culture and capabilities to empower mindset & behavior change & cultivate the human enabling skills to shape the cultural evolution in HOW we think, act & work. The Culture Enablement Team is responsible for activating the Vital Behaviors framework & providing the necessary education and training to advance & differentiate our people across the full supply chain & enterprise functions ecosystem, embedding how we work as an intrinsic part of our strategy

Reporting to Helen are Senior Enabling Capability Managers Anthony Lardaro and Ann Piscetelli as well as the CCD Latin America Regional Lead and a Vital Behaviors Product Owner once appointed. Ian Hickson is currently on a GROW rotation as Vital Behaviors Activation Owner & Maeve O’Connor is in a contract role as Vital Behaviors Program Manager

Helen joined us from Medical Devices EMEA. She began her career with Johnson & Johnson in 2003 as a sales representative in the UK Pharm business before taking on various role of increasing responsibility in Sales/Account Management & EMEA regional roles in Professional Education, Organizational Change & Transformation, PMO, Integration and more recently Acquisition & Divestiture. Helen holds an MSc in Biotechnology & BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science from the University of Durham. She also holds professional qualifications in Project Management and Change Management. In addition, Helen is a yoga teacher and mindfulness meditation instructor.
